We had to go to Carmel-by-the-Sea to pick up a picture frame. So, we decided to make it a trip to Point Lobos. (OK. It wasn’t just to get the frame, we have been wanting to go to Point Lobos again for a while).

Quick trip around the lake with Marcella, Bella, Chris, Katy, and Elizabeth.
We tried a hike that we had never done before. The hike to Ellis Peak. I am glad we did it, but probably will not do it again. The best part of the hike was just after the initial climb. We came to the top of an open ridge covered in flowers and had big views out over desolation wilderness. The views from the top of Ellis Peak were better, but it was a lot further to get to.
When we got back later that day, Margaret went into the back yard and took some pictures of a few of the flowers behind our house.
The picture above is of the large icicle that tends to form right outside my bathroom window. The reset of the pictures in this are just from a pretty snow day in Tahoe, taken around our house. It turned out that this was the pretty much the last snow of the season.
Another Independence day in Tahoe. The difference with this one is we got to ski. Loads of fun. We were able to ski 2 days in 70 degree weather. It was loads of fun. It was more like a party on skis than really skiing. On the fourth, the family and dog also went swimming, Elizabeth and I went on a hike and we saw the traditional (for us) Tahoe City fireworks.
Another spring break of skiing and having fun in Tahoe. The Bommaritos were up for most of the time. My mother was even there for a few days. The kids skied most every day. I did as much as I could while still trying to work as well. Katy took most of these pictures. This is one of the best, but it is not one of my kids, so it didn’t rate the top billing.
