We had to wait for Katy to get back from college, so the tree trimming happened a bit later than usual. But out tree we got at Save Mart in Tahoe City looks pretty good.
Another Christmas season is upon us. Another parade with the car and the dog.
Margaret went to Coro this year with Marco Bommarito. All these girls shouldn’t be this old.

Tree Trimming
We got our tree yesterday in the rain. At least the rain made it quicker. It was dry enough and everyone was around tonight an the family got it all trimmed and ready to go. Of course, 2 out of the last 3 years Katy put on the star. Tonight Margaret got to do it.
This year, we had to wait for Katy to get home from college to go get a tree. We did the whole thing today. Drove up into the hills to get a tree. Went to see the Festival of Lights in the park. And trimmed the tree. Katy has decided that she will put the star on every year, even though this year was Margaret’s turn. Being the middle child, Margaret got left out again.
Elizabeth (with a little bit of help) created a really nice senior board for Katy. Katy won’t see this until grad night after graduation.
Margaret had her 8th grade graduation. She managed to match her sister with all A’s (a principal scholar). They are going to allow her to go the 9th grade next year. We were worried.

One graduation down. Two more to go. Sam had his graduation (they call it promotion) from 5th grade today. We are done with Van Meter after 13 years. Well, Elizabeth will still do a lot of clay there, but I won’t have to go there again. We are no longer have an elementary school kid.
