It has been a strange spring in Tahoe. We got about 6 inches of snow when I was up there near the end of May.
Month: May 2010
Another year another day at Maker Faire. Again, it was more than we could see and do in a day. We launched rockets, rode some strange 2-wheeled contraption, did some silk screening, and a bunch else.
Tour of California
The Tour of California came through here. I saw it again at the top of the most important climb of the day. The top 3 people came over the top all together. I also went to see the start. The start was interesting. It was good to see the riders while they were stopped instead of while they were racing.
We finally had the party we decided to have when Elizabeth was originally diagnosed with a brain tumor. Luckily, we were able to have the “Pokie’s Not Dead Party” instead of the other one. We had about 200 people over to the house. They made T-shirts that Elizabeth designed, bounced in the bouncy house, drank Karl’s now infamous 1-2-3 margarita’s, and all in all had a good time. We had good friends come and stay with us and help with the party for the weekend.
There are also a few pictures other people took here.
Margaret Gets Glasses
Elizabeth took Margaret to the eye doctor about a week ago. We found out that she has a pretty sever astigmatism. She needed glasses. Today we picked up her glasses. She is very excited about them. I think they make her look like she belongs in a lab with a bunch of beakers around. Check out the pretty flowers on the side view.
