Hawaii

Snorkeling

Here are the latest pictures from Hawaii. The whole family went snorkeling this morning. We will update more later. At some point a few videos of turtles should show up. It seems that Katy and Margaret have gotten into making instructional videos in the pool. More pictures every day. I will update and arrange everything when we get home.

Mini

For some reason (supposedly gas mileage), we decided to buy a Mini Cooper S on Saturday. It is loads of fun, but of course doesn’t fit the family.

End of School

Well, another school year is over and the children are already bored (except for Sam, who could play Super Smash Mario all summer).

The children all had good years, earning all A’s or the elementary school check box equivalents. This earned Katy a hot pink Nano.

More importantly, they are nice kids. Margaret’s teacher wrote her a note saying “You impressed me every single day this year, not only with your great work, but also by how much you love learning, by your great attitude and by how empathetic you were towards other people.” Sam’s teacher wrote that he is “sweet, kind, gentle and very bright.” (We knew that). Katy’s teachers don’t write notes, but her math teacher sent a thank you an email to her saying “thank you for being thoughtful. I enjoyed having you in my math class this year. You’ve been a wonderful student.”

Piano Recital

Piano

Katy and Margaret had their summer recital today. They both did very well. I think piano is over until the fall now. Soon, it may be time for Sam to start up.

Sam’s 6.25 Birthday Party

Sam & Margaret

Sam had his first birthday party in a few years today. Supposedly, this was his 6th birthday party, but he didn’t actually have a party for his 5th birthday. Today we went to gymnastics. The kids had a great time running around and bouncing. I got some pretty good shots of them bouncing.
