We were back in Starkville for Thanksgiving. My whole family was there. My uncle made it down from West Virginia, with his son Timothy who I haven’t seen in over 10 years. My aunt came up from Pearl. Of course my brother and sister and their families were there. The kids had a great time playing with everyone. We went geocaching. We found this cache, but didn’t find this one.
Month: November 2006
We went to the San Francisco Auto Show. Elizabeth was lucky enough to get her picture taken with her hero.
Elizabeth: This impersonator looked so real, I did a double take when I saw him. He was making fun of Bush, saying all sorts of malapropisms, which the crowd found funny (hey, it was San Francisco, but with an approval rating in the low to mid-30’s, I guess it could have been anywhere but Idaho). Rusty insisted that I have my photo taken.
Katy and Margaret had a pre-Christmas recital. Sam and I enjoyed it immensely.
Elizabeth: The girls worked very hard to prepare for this, and played songs that were somewhat difficult for them. They both played well, and I am proud of them. If you would like to see and hear their performances, click on the photo and then on the movie of each of them. After the recital, which took place in a nursing home, they stayed and greeted the residents who came to listen to the show.
Luckily, no pictures of this one. We all went and did yoga (except Katy, she was busy). Except for all the stupid names for everything and the fact that I haven’t seen my toes for years (much less, touch them), it was actually fairly enjoyable. Sam loved it. I think it will be good for Margaret. They have kids and teen (and adults) classes that we may try, but we will most definitely try to go back next month when they do the family thing again.
Katy has been going to the teen/kids class and dragging her friends along with her. They all seem to think it is very cool.
