Just around the corner from my office is a cheesy building with this historical marker out in front of it.
Katy needed to learn how to spell some of the states and the capitols. As you can see by the note above, it did not go particularly well. She spent a lot of time yelling at us, then when I went up to bed, she was lying in her bed whining. I ignored her until she went to sleep. When Elizabeth and I went into her room, we found a note on her whiteboard for us. She had fallen asleep with her whiteboard in bed with her. The text of the note is as follows:
Dear Mama and Daddy,
See! I don’t know how to spell Raleigh or Phoenix. I had to look these ones up! Don’t tell me I will never learn them, ‘case I will, without any of your support or help!
P.S. I hate you and will still be mad at you tommorro nor matter what you tell me. “People will like you alot better if you are nice” “I am going to have to kick you out of this family if you don’t start behaving,” “I am tiered of your attetude” because I don’t care. I Hate you, Katy.
I HATE YOU.
Today (3/4), at Sam’s birthday party, she wrote both Raleigh and Pheonix (spelled correctly) on her art project and made a point of telling me that she did this.
Katy took her first snowboarding lesson. She did very well. They went down the little “first-timer” hill a few times, then went and boarded the mountain. At the same time, Margaret and Sam had a group lesson. Margaret is all over it, Sam got tired and spent the rest of the time sitting at the bottom eating chips.
Glenn and Craig are getting the drywall all done. Elizabeth is trying to pick out colors and dealing with tile. I got the garage painted, the electrical for the garage done, and a couple of shelves installed. We will go back up in a couple of weeks. They should be working on the ceilings and hopefully I can get the bedrooms and the downstairs painted. By clicking on the picture above, you can see the garage, various pictures of different colors, and a few pictures of the outside of the house.
Margaret had a bunch of friends over for her birthday party today. We set the bouncy house up in the back yard and Elizabeth had lots of activities for them all to do. On a side note, Elizabeth has decided that this sign will stay up all year around.
Katy had a little concert of what she has been doing in music class.
