Sam found some shoes before he went to sleep last night. Click on the image above for a couple of pictures with the new flash.

The whole family went to Monterey today. We went to Dennis the Menace park, the aquarium, and Todd’s house. We took lots of pictures.

We got Sam baptized last Sunday. The pictures are here. We thought about changing his name to Tyler because of what Tyler Hamilton is doing by riding very well in the tour with a broken collarbone. I guess we will stay with Sam.

The family took its annual summer vacation again to Napili. Rusty played golf as much as possible. The kids and Elizabeth swam and ran around on the warm beach. Rusty got a new camera and took LOTS of pictures.

Katy is done with school. To celebrate the end of school, her class held a party at one of the student’s homes. Miss Miller, their teacher, is getting married in August, so the students held a very realistic and charming mock wedding. A second grade girl served as minister, half the audience and attendants spontaneously said “Eww” when the groom was told he could now kiss the bride. Elizabeth made the cake and decorated it with flowers from our garden. It looked and tasted pretty good.

Margaret had her last day of preschool for the year. There was a little ceremony and I took some pictures. Unfortunately, Margaret looked gloomy for most of the pictures. Here are a few other pictures I have taken recently.

We had to put Gordie down today. We are all very sad about this. He was a big dog that was about 12 1/2 years old. When we got him a few years ago, we didn’t think that he would last very long, but he was able to last a while. Lately, he has gotten slower and slower (not that he was ever very fast). Here are a few pictures that we took right before he went to the vet.
