Katy’s Legal Action
We think this is hilarious. Katy got in trouble today for lying about writing on the walls, and was sent to her room. When I went to talk with her, she presented this piece of paper, to let us know that she has started legal action. The text is as follows: This is a legul dugment you are looking at you are not alowed to punish your doghter onder any sercome stances. The translation is as follows: This is a legal document you are looking at. You are not allowed to punish your daughter under any circumstances.
Tahoe House Plans
Here are the plans that we will probably use to get the variance for our house in Ward Canyon.
Rock Climbing
Katy and Margaret did really well rock climbing today. Sam tried a bit. Sorry the photos are a little blurry. It wasn’t quite bright enough to not use a flash.
Ward Canyon
Here are some pictures from Ward Canyon this weekend. Above are on older version of our plans for the house we are going to try to build there.
Halloween
Boo! Katy was an angel (of course). After months of trying to convince Margaret to be a fairy, at the last minute she found the doctor dress up kit and decided to be a doctor (obviously a pediatrician, as her face is painted). Sam had no choice, but is crazy for bikes, so we made him a cyclist. We picked our favorite cycling role model, Tyler Hamilton.
Scuba
We all went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium this past weekend. Katy went scuba diving (surface only – no diving), with drysuit, tank, mask, fins, the whole kit. It’s the only program in the world that takes 8 year olds scuba diving in the ocean, although the “ocean” is the great tidal pool at the aquarium. She spent about 20-30 minutes in the water, and got to hold sea cucumbers, star fish and more. Very, very cool. Check out the photo of the children descending the stairs in their drysuits. They look like they are entering the rocket for a moonshot. More pictures here.
