We just HAD to get Krispy Kreme
Views?
Bruce gave us a few more pictures of the construction on our lot in Tahoe. I think that he stood on top of some of the equipment there to try to see what some of our views may be like. These pictures are from a while back when construction had just started. We are still receiving bills, but I don’t think that the concrete work will start for a few weeks.
Kindergarten
Margaret, Sophie, and Sam
School Starts
Today, both Katy (4th) and Margaret (Kindergarten) had their first day of school. We figured out that by the time that Sam is done with this school, we will have done this 14 years in a row. Margaret had a good time, when I picked her up after school, she was most excited about the fact that she ate all of her healthy food for lunch. However, because she ate so much she didn’t have enough time to play at recess. Katy says that her favorite thing about 4th grade was getting homework.
Kindergarten
Margaret’s first day. Sam wants to play with everything in the class.
(This was sent from my phone. Unfortunately, for some reason it didn’t arrive the first time I tried. Also, the second entry never showed up.)
Construction Update
I think that the digging guys are done. We were lucky enough to get an update from Bruce. There now appears to be a big hole on my lot as well as a big pile of rocks. The next step is the concrete guys for the foundation. That won’t happen for a few weeks.
The Tebbs Family
We are back to normal. The Tebbs Family has left Los Gatos and are continuing their journey around the west. You can follow them along their call of the west.
Artichoke Capitol of the World …
Monterey
After the excitement of Castroville and the giant artichoke, we made it to Monterey and went to the Montery Bay Acquarium. We spent a little time at the acquarium saw the jellies which are really cool. Mostly, the kids just played in the various kid places, while the Tebbs adults and Alex, Ben, and Katy saw most of the exhibits. Afterwards, we went to Dennis the Menace Park and the kids ran around and had fun.
Exploratorium
On Sunday, we all went to the Exploratorium. The big thing that amazed me about it was that there was so much that was hands on. You could play with all of the stuff. It was cool. Katy really liked the bicycle wheel that you could spin then turn it from side to side and spin around in a seat. Margaret liked the experiment with angular velocity. You spin around, if you stick your leg out, you slow down, if you pull everything in, you speed up. Sam just ran around and played with everything. The other cool thing there was a giant spirograph like thing that Katy and Margaret drew pictures on.
