Today Katy reached double digits, next stop, teenager. This morning we went bowling with Katy’s friend Jenna. Check out the scores. Margaret won with a 111. She was aided by bumpers, but did the rest on her own. Katy says the only exciting things she did today was go bowling, eat cake, and get a bunch of cool presents.
The kids and I walked downtown this morning. On the way back, we found a balloon Easter bunny in front of Kuleto’s. This afternoon we went and tried to fly the pirate ship kite in the rain in Santa Cruz. In between, the children hunted for eggs in the backyard and Elizabeth’s parents and sister joined us for brunch.
New Blogging Software
I have just made the change from Movable Type to WordPress. The blog should remain pretty much the same, just a different look. Let me know if you find anything missing. Movable Type was getting to be slow and old. I figured I would go to what all of the cool people are using. I will be gradually fixing this as well as my ride blog up and making them a little more usable.
We went to The Tech with my parents. The kids did the usual: gene splicing, roller coaster designing, and driving a bobsled. They spent a little time looking at the the Rube Goldberg machine and playing in the fountain. – Rusty
The most memorable thing was looking through the Rube Goldberg machine and seeing several inches of Sam’s tongue plastered to the glass enclosure. When I told him not to lick the glass, he was surprised, and explained that he was cleaning it, and that it needed doing, as it had been dirty – Elizabeth
Here are a few movies of Margaret skiing this weekend. Susan, Sam, Margaret, and I went to Tahoe this weekend. Margaret had another lesson. Now she keeps telling us she wants to live in Tahoe and ski more.
I have spent a good deal of time over the last few days scanning in slides. I assume I am about 20% there. Here are a few of my favorites.
