Sam has swim lessons this week. His favorite is “Starfish”, he can float on his back all by himself. He is still having a little trouble if his “eyes” (including forehead) get wet. Besides that he is doing really well.

Tahoe Totem Pole
Here is the eagle that the guys created for us. The framing seems to be going pretty well. They have started on the roof framing. It is coming together nicely. There is just a little disagreement between us and the contractor about when we can actually think about moving in.
Update: This photo is from last week. This week they took the totem pole down in order to start the roof.
Update: More photos from this month. We are gradually getting a roof on the third floor. We are waiting to see the great room framed up.

Bruce has taken a few more pictures of our house as it goes up as well as some of the views we may be seeing.

We went to Tahoe this weekend to check on the construction. The new pictures of the construction and views are here. While we were there with the Schwartz’s, we went to Meek’s Bay. Zeki and Katy rented a kayak and all the kids had a good time riding on it.
We are back from our trip to Maui. Our flight was late, so we got in around 2am this morning. We are all a bit tired today. In the picture are some friends that Katy, Margaret, and Sam made while we were there. Sophie is the older one and Zoe is a little younger.

Construction Update
Bruce was nice enough to send us some pictures of our house going up in Tahoe. The exterior of the first floor seems to be framed. Next time we are up, hopefully some of the second floor will be done as well.
We did a lot of swimming in Hawaii this year like always. Margaret made leaps and bounds. She is able to swim around a bit and is pretty good with a snorkel and flippers. See the movies.
