We all went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium this past weekend. Katy went scuba diving (surface only – no diving), with drysuit, tank, mask, fins, the whole kit. It’s the only program in the world that takes 8 year olds scuba diving in the ocean, although the “ocean” is the great tidal pool at the aquarium. She spent about 20-30 minutes in the water, and got to hold sea cucumbers, star fish and more. Very, very cool. Check out the photo of the children descending the stairs in their drysuits.
