On Sunday, we all went to the Exploratorium. The big thing that amazed me about it was that there was so much that was hands on. You could play with all of the stuff. It was cool. Katy really liked the bicycle wheel that you could spin then turn it from side to side and spin around in a seat. Margaret liked the experiment with angular velocity. You spin around, if you stick your leg out, you slow down, if you pull everything in, you speed up. Sam just ran around and played with everything. The other cool thing there was a giant spirograph like thing that Katy and Margaret drew pictures on.

Happy Hollow
Today we went to Happy Hollow Zoo in San Jose. We saw lots of small animals, got to feed some of them. Then went and played in the park. Rode the Merry-go-rounds and had a fun time.

Construction Update
Children
Here are a few pictures of the children that we don’t really have any other place to put.
Four Square
I can barely walk. I pulled my hamstring playing four-square with the Tebbs Family.
Vikingsholme
We went to Emerald Bay and toured Vikingsholme. Before the tour started, the guide saw Katy and said she had Viking braids and went and fetched appropriate headgear. Sam tried it, too, and they took turns wearing the helmet throughout the entire tour. Check out the photos.
Construction Begins
After planning to start around the beginning of June, we finally have started construction on our house in Ward Canyon. The trees are all marked for removal and protection put around the things we can’t bother. Hopefully, in a few weeks, we will be able to see more progress. Things in Tahoe tend to move a little slower than here in the bay area. We are planning on getting our foundation done this summer and then doing enough to get our occupancy permit next summer.
Tahoe with Andy and Navah
More time in the mountains. This time Elizabeth’s friends Andy and Navah came along. They did some hiking, discovered an old oven near Page Meadows. This is also the same trip that they went to Vikingsholme.
