The Greer Family

Today was the first day of school for everyone. Sam had his first day of kindergarten, very exciting. Margaret started the third grade. Katy is in 7th grade now. Katy didn’t actually go to school until this afternoon. She didn’t even need us to go with her anymore.

We got our puppy today. It is a labradoodle. Half poodle, half labrador. He is very easy going and very friendly. Katy even cleaned her room so Jax could sleep with her. The kids are all very excited.

I just (yesterday) got back from a couple more weeks in Tahoe. We had lots of visitors and did lots of fun things. We got our kayak and used it a good bit. We went to Emerald Bay, Baldwin Beach, and Stanford Camp. I cut down a few trees. There was a fire at the [...]

There was a fire just down the road from us in Tahoe. It was a little close for comfort. After the Angora fire, they seemed to have jumped on this one pretty quickly and kept it small.

Sam got his cast removed today. His leg was pretty skunky underneath, and very, very stiff. He is soaking the the tub now, to clean up, remove the dead skin, and help him flex his joints. We are hoping he is back on his feet and running around in a couple of days.
