Sam,Margaret, and Katy splicing genes at The Tech
Margaret and her kindergarten class went to the San Jose Museum of Art. She liked it. A few days later, she had to take me and show me what she saw. In the picture above, they are all looking at the art hanging from the ceilings. Something like this.
More artwork from Margaret. This week Sam’s interpretation was a little more abstract. The birds looked a lot like Steve and Blue and their house.
Today was Margaret’s birthday. We had a good time. This morning we (Rusty and the kids) went geocaching. We went with Margaret’s friend Sophia and her dad. We visited the cache that we hid a couple of years ago. It was in good shape. We also went and found another cache not too far away. [...]
Today was a big day. We went bike riding this afternoon. Margaret and Sam at least. We ended up at the civic center riding around the fountain. We got a little video of Margaret. She is getting better and better. She still has a little trouble starting off, but it is coming. She wants this [...]
At Van Meter today it was a very musical day. With concerts on the hour most of the day. The kindergarten classes went a little while after the violin episode. Margaret is the one in the second row behind the boy in the yellow shirt – who is worth watching. Notice she still has on [...]
Today at Margaret’s school the celebrated her birthday which will be on Sunday. They did it today because they have school off next week and tomorrow they will celebrate Valentine’s day. She got to wear a crown today as the birthday girl. Here is some video of the kids saying what they like about Margaret.
Katy had her violin recital today. Just imagine 60 fourth graders all playing the violin at the same time and it will be like you were there. You can watch each of the songs being performed. Or you can close your eyes and think of a swarm of bees to get the same audio effect. [...]
