All of the kids have been doing a little genetic engineering in their spare time. Here is Katy’s press release. The took the gene that makes a jellyfish glow under ultra-violet light, spliced it into a weakened strain of ecoli bacteria and grew this bacteria overnight. The results are above.

We had visitors this weekend. Oliver Steele , Margaret Minsky, Miles, and Charlotte paid us a visit this weekend. We spent all day Saturday in downtown San Jose at The Tech Museum and Touchstone Climbing. Here are some pictures from the weekend. We had a great time.
