3rd Place

Alan took the car to Woodland this year because I couldn’t make it with him. All his hard work has paid off, he won 3rd place.

Backend Noises

Dead Universal Joint

We have been working on gradually getting rid of the noises from the back end of the car. The first biggest problem was one of the universal joints was completely shot.

Carpet Pad

Because he has to continue to tinker, Alan replaced (installed) a carpet pad under the floor mats.

Tranny Hump

During the engine install, we broke through the transmission hump a bit.  Alan fixed it up.

Engine Install

nuts

Over the last 3 days, Alan and I (with some help from some friends), put the engine back in the TR250. I spent a fair amount of my time under the car napping installing the exhaust and not getting the fill plug off the transmission. After watching Alan work for a few days, it started up and seems to be doing well. I brought the car home to show the family.  See, from the picture above, we didn’t have too much left over.

Palo Alto

Today I went to the Palo Alto British Field Meet. I mostly liked the Land Rovers. Alan did a great job getting the car ready. There were only two TR250s there. Ours was by far the best one.

Puppy Love

This is Emily Flory’s 1968 Valencia Blue Triumph TR250. The car had simply been parked (benignly neglected) in the garage quietly solidifying during the past 10 to 12 years. This is how the car looked in October of 2006 when we started the restoration process. It was love at first sight from an old motorhead left in the sixties.
